Garden Grove is home to the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival.  Held annually over Memorial Day weekend, it is the largest community festival in the western United States and attracts well over 200,000 visitors. Garden Grove is easily accessed by the Garden Grove Freeway (State Hwy 22) which runs east/west through the city.  Public transportation in Garden Grove is provided by the Orange County Transportation Authority.  Passenger rail service is provided by Amtrak in nearby Anaheim or Santa Ana.  The nearest airports serving Garden Grove are John Wayne Airport (14 miles), Long Beach Airport (16 miles) and Los Angeles International Airport(35 miles).
